How to Use Aldara® Safely

✔ Apply a thin layer to the affected area as prescribed, usually 2-3 times per week or as directed by your doctor.
✔ Do not overapply or use more frequently than advised—this may increase skin irritation.
✔ Leave the cream on for the duration specified by your doctor (typically 6-10 hours), then wash off with lukewarm water and a gentle, non-soap cleanser (e.g., QV, Cetaphil, Dermaveen).
✔ Continue treatment for the full prescribed duration (typically several weeks).

Following the correct application process helps maximize effectiveness and reduce potential irritation.

Precautions & Application Guidelines

Skin Cleansing & Preparation

✔ Wash the affected area with water and a mild, non-soap cleanser before application.
✔ Allow skin to dry completely before applying Aldara®.
✔ Do not use regular soap, as it may cause irritation.

Sensitive Areas to Avoid

❌ Do not apply Aldara® near the eyes, lips, nostrils, inside the mouth, or genital area unless specifically instructed by your doctor.

Expected Skin Reactions

✔ Mild redness, swelling, flaking, itching, and crusting are normal signs that the treatment is working.
✔ These effects are usually temporary and subside after completing treatment.
